  • Shane Mupunga - (General Manager & Head of Operations)

    Shane holds a Diploma in Logistics with Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport, (C.I.L.T), a Diploma in Customs Procedures & Legislation (C.P.L) & a certificate in Personnel Management (I.P.M.Z).

    He has vast experience within the field of transport having been previously with Federal Express (FedEx), entered holding a clerical position and rose through the ranks to being the country’s Imports and Exports Controller managing inbound & outbound cargo ensuring a seamless integration of freight movement. During his six year journey he managed to attain an International Specialist certificate award at FedEx AL Gouhard in Dubai, which covered expert training on how to ship to the United States focusing on legal paperwork in relation to product type required for goods to enter the US. He also received a range of awards just to name a few the ‘Purple Champion’ award for individual outstanding performance for two consecutive years & is also a ZIMHOST customer service certified agent. Shane has the competitive edge required in transacting with the local customs i.e. Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (Z.I.M.R.A) & is also highly conversant with most import& export procedures and the legal requirements within the SADC region and on an international level.

    Mr. Passwell Chikomo, holds a Graduate Diploma in Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) UK, a Diploma in Business Administration (DBA), with the Zimbabwe Institute of Management and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management for Executives and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) Degree with the University of Zimbabwe Graduate School Of Management, specializing in Retail franchise & distribution management. Passwell has vast experience in retail and wholesale buying, merchandise & marketing management having previously worked for O.K. Zimbabwe Limited, Spar Zimbabwe and Red Star Holdings Limited. He cut his teeth in the retail business as a Management Trainee with OK Zimbabwe and subsequently rose to senior management with Spar Zimbabwe.

    He joined Red Star Holdings Limited as Group Procurement Executive in 2004. Opening outlets in regional markets and membership in teams that were responsible for a company listing, capital raising and retail promotions form part of Passwell‘s resume.

    In January 2011 Passwell joined TM Supermarkets as General Manager responsible for Group Buying, Merchandise& Marketing until January 2014. Passwell has vast experience in the management of Imports and Exports of FMCG products having dealt with Clearing Agents, ZIMRA, and relevant Ministries for importation permits and foreign Suppliers over 15 years of his experience. He has also managed exports to countries such as Zambia, South Africa and DRC for the various operations for over a three year period

  • Pamela Nyakutambwa - (Head of Finance)

    Ms Pamela Nyakutambwa, holds a Diploma in Business Management with Speciss College and a Diploma in Credit Management with University of Zimbabwe. She has fourteen years’ experience in Finance and Administration having worked for Imtec Sales for four years as a Credit Manager responsible for eleven branches nationwide. Pamela grew up the ladder and was promoted to the position of assistant Finance Manager. She then moved on to Reign Communications as Finance and Administration Manager from 2003 until she joined Beacon Freight & Logistics as Head of Finance, the position she holds to date.

  • Fungai Makoni - (Non Executive Chairman)

    Fungai Makoni, holds a first degree BSc (Hons) Biochemistry with the University of Zimbabwe, Masters Degree MSc Public Health with the University of Free State South Africa and is currently pursuing PhD in Public Health & Water Resource Management with the same university. Fungai currently is the sector leader and HR advisor for WASH, a Netherlands Capacity Development organisation in South Sudan Juba.     His key areas roles for Beacon Freight amongst other are providing strategic direction and content leadership to optimize growth results and ERP, conceptual development of operations systems, including identifying and redefining key staff roles; identifying market opportunities particularly in East-Africa; lead on innovations and craft this into practice. He also works closely with the Beacon Freight HR to ensure continuous professional development of staff by providing advice on recruitment, mobility and learning and development plans.

  • Shayne Muronda - (Freight Forwarding Coordinator)

    Mr. Shayne Muronda holds a Bachelors Degree in Local Governance Studies with the Midlands State University and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree with the University of Newcastle, Australia Graduate School of Social Change and Development. Shayne has a wealth of experience in the NGO sector where he focused on sustainable development. He joined FOST in 2009 as a Field Officer. Shayne joined TDH (an NGO Italy) in August 2010 where he worked as a Project Officer.

    His key responsibilities for Beacon Freight include among other, assisting Departmental staff on freight related administrative tasks; overseeing the tracking and tracing of freight and Creating jobs in CONTROL for all Air/Sea/Overland Import/Export/ Cross shipment.

    After completing his high school, Novice’s first marketing experience was in a Junior Customer Service Agent post with Federal Express (FEDEX) in 1998 spending nearly three years in that position before enrolling fulltime for a Investment Management Diploma which he obtained in 2003. He rejoined FEDEX Regional Head Office in SA in 2003 where he worked for two years as a Customer service Agent. Subsequent to that, he worked in Portfolio Management Positions for ABSA, Life sense Financial Services and Cedar Capital where his roles encompassed Finance and Insurance Marketing, Management and Business Development before joining Beacon Freight in 2010.

    Novice serves as a Principal Consultant for Khayreos Media where he specialises on Brand & Marketing Strategy Development. He focuses on Developing new business in SA & the entire SADC region forging new contracts as well as managing and maintaining all key accounts; continuously improving the communication process for 3rd party providers including Airlines, Regional Revenue/Customs authorities; Air-freight partners, the FDA as needed in regard to import/exportation of cargo in order to make our freight movement on all modes of transportation efficient and seamless
